Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to Nyerere national park
On arrival at Julius Nyerere international airport in Dar es Salaam, you will board your chartered small aircraft for your domestic flight to Nyerere national park. You will be received by your safari guide at the airstrip and then embark on a game drive upon arrival at the park, getting introduced to the wildlife in the vast park.
In the afternoon, drive to your lodge for check in and lunch. After resting, you will go for a boat ride on Rufiji River that will take up about 2-3 hours. Watch the water birds fly over the river like the African skimmers, fish eagles, kingfishers, yellow billed storks, egrets, herons among others and the hippos and crocodiles in water. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2-3: Explore Nyerere national park
Day 2 and day 3 will be spent exploring different areas of Nyerere national park, from Rufiji River to the lakes, smaller water channels, woodlands, open savannah grasslands, riverine forests, swamps and marshes. Look out for zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, lions, elephants, hyenas, antelopes and more. Activities available are game drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon safaris, sport fishing and community visits.
Day 4: Flight to Serengeti national park

Day 5-6: Explore Serengeti national park
2 full days of exploring the famous Serengeti national park on extensive game drives to different regions. Like the Seronera area at the heart of the Serengeti. Embark on full day game drives, half-day game drives, walking safaris, hot air balloon safaris and Maasai village visits. Get to witness the great wildebeest migration.
