LOCATION OF NYERERE NATIONAL PARK: Nyerere national park is located in the South East of Tanzania covering an area of 30,893km2. It is approximately 230km from Dar es Salaam city by road. It covers part of Pwani Region in the South West, most of Liwale district, North East Ruvuma Region and a big part of Morogoro Region (South Eastern).

By road
Nyerere national park can be accessed on a 5-hour road trip. From Dar es Salaam to the nearest park gate called Mtemere gate. 6-7 hours to Matembwe gate through Morogoro town.
