Day 1: Domestic flight from Arusha to Nyerere National Park
From your hotel in Arusha, you will be transferred to Arusha airport. Take your domestic flight to Nyerere national park in South Eastern Tanzania. On arrival at the airstrip in Nyerere, your safari guide will be waiting to pick you up and you embark on a mid-morning game drive in Nyerere national park as you drive to your safari camp; check in have your lunch and in the late afternoon, you will go on a boat trip on Rufiji River where you will see many hippos and crocodiles in the river and other animals at the river banks. Return to your safari lodge for the night.
Day 2: Nyerere National Park
Full day of exploration in Nyerere national park on either a full day game drive or half day game drive and a guided nature / bush walk. Nyerere national park is home to a wide variety of animal and bird species. Including lions, buffalos, wildebeests, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, wild dogs, hyenas, impalas, sable antelopes, jackals, bat-eared foxes, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, colobus monkeys, leopards, warthogs, mongoose among many others.
Day 3: Flight back to Arusha
After your breakfast, your tour guide will drive you to the airstrip in Nyerere national park. Take your domestic flight back to Arusha airport where you will catch your international flight back home. You can opt to take on a hot air ballon ride in the early morning before departure.
